What it is
Whatever a particular home, account or person needs does not belong in the distribution but in a plugin. A plugin is a Python package and can bring tools, an interface, skills for the agent and an entry in the installer catalogue. The template is a complete, runnable sample: copy it, rename it, put your own tools in.
What it does
- Reading and writing kept apart. Writing tools have a dry run; a real run needs
bestaetigt: true. - Honest apps. The hub’s shared bridge shows how fresh the data is (“as of 2 min ago”) and turns “save” into a request with a confirmation.
- Knowledge travels along. Skills in the package tell the agent when to use which tool and where the traps are.
- Installed safely. uv with your own package index first (
first-index): a package of the same name on PyPI cannot displace your own plugin. - Clean and tested. A cleanliness check against private addresses and secrets, tests against the real hub core, trusted publishing to PyPI.
